A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking a skilled Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Bedford-based team. You will oversee a high-profile project and work alongside a professional, supportive commercial team.

Responsibilities:
\n
\n \n Leading the commercial function for the project, ensuring profitability and compliance.
\n
\n
\n Procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
\n
\n
\n Managing and pricing change.
\n
\n
\n Overseeing subcontractor performance and labour management.
\n
\n
\n Raising early warnings and managing change events.
\n
\n
\n Producing accurate cost variation and valuation reports.
\n
\n
\n Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain excellent working relationships.
\n
\n
\n
Requirements:
\n
\n \n Proven experience with a civil engineering contractor.
\n
\n
\n Strong leadership and communication skills, able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
\n
\n
\n In-depth understanding of NEC forms of contract.
\n
\n
\n Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
\n
\n
\n Professional accreditation (MRICS or equivalent) desirable.
\n
\n
\n
