Role: Managing Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor Location: Leeds Salary: £85k - £95k Key Duties: * Lead commercial management across projects (£100k - £5m) ensuring profitability and risk control * Manage commercial team (Estimators & QSs - c.5 staff), including mentoring and performance * Prepare and review estimates from specs, drawings, and site visits * Manage tender submissions including labour, materials, and subcontract packages * Lead tender adjudications and pricing strategy * Manage project costs, budgets, and timelines * Conduct site visits for measurement and commercial oversight * Procure and negotiate subcontractors and suppliers * Administer contracts (JCT), ensuring compliance and protecting position * Monitor costs, cash flow, valuations, and reporting * Identify risks and opportunities to protect margins * Lead variations, change control, and final accounts * Provide input during design and pre-construction phases * Maintain client relationships and act as key commercial lead
