Are you an experienced Manual Machinist who takes pride in precision and high-quality workmanship?

Were recruiting for a well-established and stable engineering company looking to add a Skilled Production Machinist to their growing team. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on machining and working independently.

Manual Centre Lathe experience is essential this will be your primary machine.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture high-quality components from engineering drawings
  • Operate a manual centre lathe confidently and independently
  • Work to agreed production timescales
  • Maintain exceptional standards of accuracy and finish
  • Use measuring and test equipment to ensure precision
  • Manufacture jigs and tooling required to complete jobs
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and wear correct PPE
  • Keep machines and work areas clean, organised, and maintained
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through the 8D system

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience operating a manual centre lathe (essential)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and professional

Working Hours:

  • Monday Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am 1:00pm (Early finish every week!)

  • 20 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year up to 25 days

  • 1.5x standard rate
  • 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays
