Manufacturing Engineer (Automation)\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE\n Type: Permanent, Full-Time | Hours: 37.5 per week\n Working Pattern: Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm | Fri 8am-1:30pm\n Location: Whitstable - On-site with ad-hoc home working\n\nWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Automation) to support product and process development with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Duties\n\nSupport NPI, process design, and engineering change activities\n\nAssist with DFMEA/PFMEA and APQP activities\n\nSupport tooling, fixture, and automation solution development\n\nAssist with automation integration (robotics, PLCs, vision, conveyors)\n\nSupport PPAP, validation, commissioning, and production issues\n\nAssist with audits, quality improvements, and supplier corrective actions\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nBEng / Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline\n\n5+ years' manufacturing or engineering experience\n\nCAD experience (Creo )\n\nAbility to read technical drawings\n\nUnderstanding of ERP/MRP and PDM systems\n\nBasic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation\n\nDesirable\n\nMEng / Level 7\n\nHigh-volume manufacturing experience\n\nHands -on automation, robotics, or PLC programming\n\nKnowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, AS13100, AS9145)
