Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer – Bournemouth – £45,000–£47,000
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bournemouth, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement and supporting production efficiency within a modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimising production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring cost-effective manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product introduction and ongoing process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities
Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements
Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role
Strong understanding of production processes and lean principles
Experience within a manufacturing environment (e.g. mechanical, electrical, or precision engineering)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Package
Salary: £45,000–£47,000
37-hour working week (4.5 days)
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
