Manufacturing Engineer - ✈️\n\n ️ Hayes, Middlesex\n\n £32,000 to £34,000 + Package\n\n Start ASAP\n\nLaunch Your Engineering Career in Advanced Manufacturing\n\nWe are currently working with a leading aerospace MRO to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career engineer to develop within a high performance, regulated production environment.\n\nThe successful candidate will join a technical team supporting plating and surface finishing operations, playing a key role in improving shop floor processes, developing documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:\n\nCreate and maintain clear and practical manufacturing work instructions and tooling documentation for shop floor use\nDefine critical checks and inspection requirements to support production\nAssist in investigating and resolving production defects and non conformities\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput\nAnalyse production data including cycle times, downtime and machine availability\nConduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis and process mapping\nSupport structured problem solving activities alongside senior engineers\nDevelop and maintain tooling and equipment master data within an ERP system\nCoordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime\nCollaborate with Operations, Tooling, Supply Chain, IT and Maintenance teams\nSupport automation and digital improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance\nEnsure full compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety procedures\nThis is a hands on role combining office based engineering responsibilities with regular time spent supporting shop floor operations within a plating environment.\n\nThe Candidate\n\nOur client is particularly interested in individuals with 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, production engineering or tooling support role who are keen to continue developing their career.\n\nEssential\n\nHND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline\n1 to 2 years of experience within a manufacturing or production environment\nExperience creating or updating manufacturing work instructions or technical documentation\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings\nBasic metrology knowledge\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office\nExperience using CAD software, SolidWorks \nAbility to communicate effectively with both shop floor personnel and technical teams\nRight to live and work in the UK without restriction\n\nDesirable\n\nExperience in metal component manufacturing or surface finishing processes\nExposure to aerospace manufacturing standards\nFamiliarity with MRP or ERP systems, SAP desirable\nLean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement training\nUnderstanding of Statistical Process Control\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nCurious and proactive with a genuine interest in improving manufacturing processes\nDetail focused with a practical approach to problem solving\nComfortable working within a matrix team environment\nWell organised and able to manage multiple priorities\nMotivated to develop technically and professionally\n\nWorking Environment\n\nThe role is primarily office based but involves regular time within a plating shop environment.
