Our client is a very successful precision engineering business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Manufacturing Engineer.\n\nWe are seeking candidates with previous manufacturing engineer or project engineer experience working in the CNC machining and / or welding & fabrication sector. \n\n£48K -£50K Neg + Benefits\n\nThe Role:\n\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing effective technical support and guidance on multiple manufacturing (machining & fabrication) projects simultaneously. \n\nYour duties will include: -\n\nLiaise with clients, design, engineering and production teams to ensure effective manufacture of orders\nProduce works instructions and package of works \nProvide technical support to engineering, design and production teams\nProduce regular project progress updates and reporting\nMonitor and report on project /order progress \nReview supply chain and procurement functions and negotiate cost reductions, improved service etc.Candidate:\n\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will have at least 3 years project engineer or manufacturing engineer experience in a CNC machining or fabrication sector.\n\nYou will be familiar with and manufacture of parts / components for industries such as MOD, Nuclear, Marine, Aerospace, Oil & gas sectors.\n\nYou will have excellent Project Engineer skills and you'll be competent in the use of ERP/MRP systems and you will have HNC/HND in mechanical engineering and you will have a CNC engineering background.
