Production, Continuous Improvement or similar, apply now for an immediate response The Job Youll Do;Take responsibility for the manufacturing processes end-to-end Drive improvements in cycle time, throughput, and yieldStandardise processes to minimise variation and reduce reliance on individual operatorsBe actively present on the shop floor during issues, rather than managing remotelyLead structured root cause analysis using methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, and fault findingResolve recurring issues including press stoppages, induction instability, tooling failures, and scrap trendsDeliver measurable results, including improvements in OEE, and reductions in downtime and scrapImplement Lean methodologies effectively, including 5S, Standard Work, and Visual ManagementChallenge and correct ineffective or poor practicesDevelop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process flow documentationPut controls in place to prevent repeat failuresLead new product introduction from concept through to full productionDefine processes, tooling requirements, and trial plansEnsure successful right-first-time product launchesSupport validation activities through capability studies and formal sign-offsMonitor and respond to key metrics such as OEE, scrap, and downtimeContribute to tooling and die design improvementsCollaborate with the Toolroom to eliminate recurring failures and quality issuesEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety requirementsAbout You;HNC or above in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or similar Experience in heavy engineering, automotive or similar Strong background in process improvement within production environmentsStrong Experience with CAD (Fusion 360 or similar)Able to understand engineering drawings & tolerancesExperience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and Structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why)Self-driven and able to work on own initiativeComfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentWilling to challenge poor standardsStrong shop floor presence visible and accountableJBRP1_UKTJ
