£36,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on skills and abilities)
Permanent opportunity in Wrexham
Working hours: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thurs and 8am - 2:30pm Friday.

I'm working with a well-established, global manufacturing business that specialises in advanced materials used across sectors including medical, defence, and industrial applications.  Based at their North Wales site in Wrexham -a key hub for precision manufacturing-they're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support ongoing improvements in processes, efficiency, and product quality, while playing a vital role in driving continuous improvement across the operation.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:
Designing and developing production tooling, jigs, and fixtures Supporting manufacturing cost estimation from customer enquiries Driving continuous improvement initiatives using tools like SPC, PFMEA, DoE, and Pareto analysis Investigating and improving plant layout, workflow, and 5S standards Leading or supporting engineering projects across the business Conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions Collaborating with production teams to resolve day-to-day quality and process issues Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures Managing relationships with external suppliers and contractors The Candidate:
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following skills and abilities:
Ideally Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred) Experience in tooling, jig, or fixture design Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred) Strong communication and analytical skills Confident working independently and within cross-functional teams Good understanding of continuous improvement methodologies The Client
