Earnings: Salary discussed on application To lead, manage and develop of a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for the design, development, validation and on-going support of the TAS production system to ensure the system produces product that consistently fulfils technical, quality and cost requirements while operating at the customer demand rate and ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. Ensure customer requirements are consistently met through the use of process control, lessons learned and continuous improvement. Support delivery of TAS operational excellence targets by utilising improved engineering methodologies, increased automation, enterprise wide system integration, optimisation of plant layout and application of lean practices. This role will be based at ourGoban Street site. Responsibilities
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing engineering; planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business and functional performance Design, prove, implement and maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality and cost requirements Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste Analyse downtime, identify trends and develop solutions Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability Motivate and coach the team to operational success Hold responsibility for team budget Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy

Requirements
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in a similar environment, i.e. automotive, aerospace or heavy engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a team Understanding of industry best practice in manufacturing and/or assembly processes Strong working knowledge of process design, process planning and lean manufacturing techniques Awareness of the effective application of process design and planning tools such as PLM, MOM/MES and MRP Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering degree Highly experienced technicians in a manufacturing discipline who have completed or are in the process of completing a technical and/or leadership qualification will be considered Good communication and interpersonal skills Distinguished record of creativity and innovation Membership of an industry related professional body
