Working Hours: 38 per week, Monday-Friday, hours to be worked between 08:00-18:00 (to be agreed with line manager)
Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for the accurate and efficient assembly, electrical sub-assembly, testing, verification, and ongoing maintenance of machinery and equipment in line with engineering specifications and build documentation.
The role ensures all builds and sub-assemblies meet required quality, safety, and efficiency standards, while maintaining full traceability of parts and materials and supporting optimal equipment performance through effective maintenance practices.
The role also includes responsibility for managing internal 3D printing projects to support production, maintenance, tooling, and continuous improvement activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain label plant equipment in line with the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plan to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
Effectively action maintenance requests, corrective actions, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Carry out maintenance and servicing in accordance with manufacturers’ maintenance guidelines.
Support fault diagnosis and repairs, ensuring equipment availability is maximised Machine Sub-Assembly & Build.
Accurately and efficiently assemble machinery, equipment, and electrical sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and build documentation.
Perform testing, verification, and fault-finding activities to ensure all builds meet defined quality and performance standards.
Ensure sub-assemblies and completed builds are produced right-first-time, maintaining high levels of efficiency and workmanship.

Accurately scan and record all parts and materials using the DSI application on a remote handheld device.
Ensure real-time stock accuracy and full traceability of all material movements and transactions.
Identify discrepancies in stock or build documentation and escalate appropriately 3D Printing Projects.
Manage and deliver internal 3D printing projects to support maintenance, production, tooling, and improvement initiatives.
Assess suitability of components for 3D printing, including material selection and design considerations.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printers to ensure consistent print quality and reliability.
Coordinate print schedules, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery of printed components.
Ensure printed parts meet functional, dimensional, and quality requirements before release for use.
Maintain documentation, version control, and traceability for 3D-printed parts and projects Cost & Spares Management.
Support control of maintenance repair costs in line with agreed budgets.
Assist in evaluating availability of replacement parts versus cost and lead times.
Identify opportunities where 3D printing can reduce cost, lead time, or downtime.
Work safely at all times and strictly adhere to company procedures and all legal Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
Ensure tools, equipment, work areas, and 3D printing equipment are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
Participate in safety initiatives, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
Experience & Qualifications:
HNC or NVQ level 3 in an Electro-mechanical/Maintenance engineering discipline.
Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
Basic electrical safety awareness, including safe isolation principles.
Minimum of 2 years post qualification in a maintenance/production environment.
Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly, sub-assembly, and machine maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and build documentation.
Experience with testing, verification, and fault-finding of machinery and electrical systems.
Familiarity with TPM principles and structured maintenance systems.
Confident using handheld devices and digital systems for parts scanning and data entry.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
