We are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations within a growing, internationally operating engineering business. The role involves overseeing multiple production departments across a complex, multi-stage metal manufacturing process in a high-precision environment that supplies into highly regulated sectors.
The Role
You will have full responsibility for managing and coordinating production across multiple departments, ensuring that performance targets are consistently met. This will include:
- Leading and motivating teams to deliver against key operational metrics including OEE, OTIF, and SQDCP
- Using data-driven analysis to track performance, identify trends, and implement targeted improvements
- Driving operational performance through effective KPI management, departmental planning, and resource allocation
- Managing people performance to ensure accountability, clear objectives, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Building capability across the workforce through training, coaching, and succession planning
- Working closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance and on-time delivery to customers
- Maintaining operational standards aligned with aerospace, defence, and other safety-critical sector requirements
- Contributing to future production strategies to support business growth and customer demand
About You
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline (essential)
- Experience in complex, multi-department manufacturing, ideally within aerospace, defence, or other high-precision industries
- Strong record of delivering against KPIs including OEE, OTIF, and SQDCP
- Data-driven approach to operational decision-making and problem-solving
- Proven track record in managing people performance, setting clear expectations, and developing high-performing teams
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
