Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a globally renowned manufacturing organisation in their search for a Manufacturing Project Engineer. This role is critical in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) activities, translating concept designs into cost-effective, high-quality manufacturing outputs.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of project delivery, lead cross-functional engineering teams, and play a key role in the launch of innovative new products.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead NPI projects through the full stage gate process, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met
  • Drive timely delivery of project objectives by assigning and overseeing design/prototyping tasks
  • Manage the design and build of new jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support product launch
  • Coordinate key manufacturing deliverables: DFM reviews, BOMs, SOPs, tooling, training, and inspections
  • Work closely with R&D and Production to resolve manufacturing challenges early in the development cycle
  • Oversee subcontractor performance for tooling and fixture supply, escalating issues as needed
  • Chair internal NPI reviews and communicate progress to stakeholders clearly and consistently
  • Champion Engineering Change Management and continuously improve internal processes
  • Propose manufacturing improvements aligned with automation, quality, and cost reduction initiatives


What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (HND considered with experience)
  • Proven track record delivering NPI/NPD projects within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong CAD skills in 3D/2D (CREO preferred or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of fabrication, welding, and machining processes
  • Familiar with NPI stage gate processes (APQP knowledge a bonus)
  • Excellent communication, project planning, and stakeholder management skills
