Manufacturing Technician
Initial 6‑month contract (extension possible based on performance)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. You will play a key role in supporting electronic, mechanical, or systems-based manufacturing activities, ensuring high-quality output through hands-on technical work, testing, troubleshooting, and process control.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, technical work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is confident working with tools, assemblies, and production documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out technical tasks across assigned functional areas (electronic, mechanical, or systems).
Perform tests, measurements, and process controls to support production and project requirements.
Work from job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travellers, and bills of material.
Maintain and operate production tools, equipment, and automated machinery.
Troubleshoot product, process, or programme issues and carry out effective repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Identify components and perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and termination.
Use a range of manual hand tools and maintain capability across electronics, hydraulics, mechanical assemblies, and machine operation.
Apply continuous improvement principles to enhance quality, efficiency, and workflow.
Experience & Exposure
Working within a technology or manufacturing centre
Understanding of production workflows
Supporting technical investigations
Production testing and diagnostics
Assembly of production components and systems
