Location: Crayford
Salary: up to GBP68,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 5.15pm.

Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their ever-expanding team. You will report to the Operations Director.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Manager:
· Responsible and accountable for manufacturing - process in place to ensure lines are loaded/kits are available (managing WIP stock levels and accuracy), producing the products, closing off the production of the goods ready for dispatch all to the required OTIF and quality targets.
· Ensure and effective management system is in place to manage all areas under your responsibility, must include reports which provide you with the required data to manage the team effectively, as if you dont know where you are, you do not know where to go.
· Manufacture products efficiently, on budget, to set quality standards and on time.
· Reduce lead times while keeping production flexible to meet customer expectations.
· Analyse output against forecasted plans to track performance, identifying any problem areas and opportunities to improve efficiencies.
· Communicate between production and sales team to ensure lead times are achieved and customers are made aware of any possible delays.
· Attend meetings to communicate any production related matters.
· Responsible for integrating new products into the production processes.
· Create reports detailing manufacturing, materials and capacity requirements for the factory.
· Responsible for compliance with quality control systems, in line with ISO9001.
· Understand and develop Sage/Tarquin for all manufacturing needs.
· Responsible for the production planning and scheduling of products to be produced in line with capacity and customer lead time requirements, ensuring there is a written production plan in place at all times.
· Responsible for measuring the schedule adherence i.e. the actual produced against the production plan. Ensure corrective action plan is in place to ensure the schedule adherence target is met at all times.
· Responsible for measuring the efficiency of the manufacturing area, with continuous improvement action plans in place to ensure all downtime is addressed to ensure efficiencies are improved.
· Responsible to ensure that (if any) backlog orders exist that there is a plan to reduce and eliminate any backlog condition with a structured plan which is to be presented and shared to all concerned.
· Responsible for ensuring the OTIF (on time and in full) target is achieved, with corrective action plans in place to ensure adherence.
· Responsible for having a structured efficiency cost savings plan in place related to process improvements as well as identifying potential material cost savings.

· Responsible to entrench a I am responsible for my own quality mindset within the teams and area of responsibility.
· Responsibility to ensure these are tracked and delivered on time.
· Responsibility to ensure project timing is met with the manufacturing requirement and any required facilities.
· Responsible for the 5S within your area of responsibility, ensuring the highest housekeeping standards are met.
· Responsible for ensuring all H&S requirements are met and maintained, including equipment related requirements (LEV testing, etc) in conjunction with the H&S manager.
· Responsible to ensure that the environmental impacts are both understood and addressed to ensure compliance in the factory/areas of responsibility, in line with ISO14001 standards.
· Ensure all company requirements in terms of appraisals, etc are done on time and to the required standard.
Requirements of the Manufacturing Manager:
· Qualification in the field of production or similar field related to the job requirement.
· More than 5 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
· The ability to deal with spike order processing ensuring bottlenecks are balanced and resources are maintained to ensure the spike projects meet the required delivery dates.
· Knowledge and practical implementation experience in production controls (e.g. Lean manufacturing, etc.).
· Ability to implement and maintain a comprehensive manufacturing measurement system - Efficiency focused, OEE, etc.
· Understands and operates in an environment familiar with KPIs (key performance indicators).
· Take control of the manufacturing supply chain.
· Ensure with IIP that there is a structured development and succession plan in place for your area of responsibility.
· Ensure the required KPIs are cascaded throughout your area of responsibility in line with company requirements.
· Ensure a professional level of management and leadership is maintained.
· Develop and implement an asset care system ensuring our assets are in the required condition to produce top quality products at all times.
· Investigate, get training on 5S housekeeping principles and agree an implementation plan.
· Familiar with ISO standard environments as the role is a key part of implementing ISO standards in business, specifically QMS ISO9001 and EMS ISO14001.
· Purchasing knowledge - input into purchasing on stock levels to ensure manufacturing continuity.
· The ability to lead and manage a cross functional training matrix.
· Complete review and risk assessment to areas of responsibility and make required changes in conjunction with the H&S manager.
· To help the development and implementation of Sage/Tarquin.
· To continually update and improve factory efficiency/procedures and layout.
