The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Engineer Typically, this person will need to be ready to take on a wide range of responsibilities from diagnosing technical issues and upgrading older vessels, to handling breakdown repairs and routine maintenance for marine leisure and commercial boats, as well as working on the mechanical systems of generators. Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer: Inboard & outboard engines Engine controls & electrical systems Gearboxes, stern drives, IPS & stern gear Generators, pumps, fuel tanks & systems Thrusters, hydraulics, lifting & stropping Sea trials and diagnostics Manage your own workload efficiently Complete timesheets and maintain service records (often online) Use electronic parts catalogues to identify and order parts Liaise directly with customers, providing updates and top-level service Respond to enquiries with professionalism and technical expertise
Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Engineer: Marine Engineering Qualification desirable Full UK Driving Licence Strong attention to detail Basic IT Skills. A commitment to high standards and customer satisfaction A \"go the extra mile\" attitude to keep customers returning.
Desirable but not necessary: Forklift licence Manual handling VHF Main dealer / manufacturing training. xehkeey Powerboat level 2
