We are currently recruiting a Market Attendant to support the day-to-day operation of a busy market and public facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone reliable, practical, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities

*

General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, windows, and public facilities

*

Waste collection, segregation, and operation of waste compaction equipment

*

Maintaining cleanliness in public areas, including food court seating during busy periods

*

Basic labouring duties and use of cleaning and maintenance equipment

*

Litter picking and upkeep of internal and external areas

*

Acting as a first point of contact for customer and trader queries

*

Assisting with site security duties when required

*

Following cleaning rotas and health & safety procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

*

A strong work ethic and attention to detail

*

Ability to carry out physical duties and manual handling tasks

*

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

*

Good communication and customer service skills

*

Awareness of health & safety in the workplace

*

Previous cleaning, facilities, or caretaker experience desirable but not essential
