Marketing & Business Development Manager (12-Month FTC) | London (EC2N) | £70k-£75k with hybrid working


We are working with a leading international law firm to recruit an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to support their globally recognised Commodities practice on a 12-month fixed-term contract.


This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders in a high-performing, sector-focused environment, delivering strategic initiatives that directly contribute to client growth and revenue generation.


The Role

You will lead the development and execution of marketing and business development plans for an international Commodities group, working alongside partners and a collaborative central marketing team. The role offers strong visibility across the business and the chance to shape impactful, commercially driven campaigns.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the group’s M&BD strategy in line with wider firm objectives
  • Lead international marketing campaigns and manage associated budgets
  • Support partners and fee earners with day-to-day business development activity
  • Drive client development initiatives and strengthen key client relationships
  • Produce high-quality pitches, proposals and capability statements
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to support growth
  • Collaborate on PR, thought leadership and profile-raising activity
  • Oversee marketing materials, events, and communications activity
  • Track and report on ROI and campaign effectiveness


About You

  • Proven experience in a marketing & business development role within professional services (legal preferred)
  • Experience delivering strategic BD plans and managing complex projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially aware, proactive and highly organised
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. InterAction or similar)
