Role Description
This is an on-site role based in Canary Wharf, London, for a Marketing & Business Development Associate, with a strong focus on events, stakeholder coordination, and strategic marketing execution. The associate will support the delivery of key firm initiatives, including flagship events such as FSTC26, by acting as a coordination hub across internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities will span event planning and execution, business development support, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder communications.
The role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of marketing and BD activity, from pipeline tracking and proposal development to campaign execution, event delivery, and post-event analysis. It is ideal for a candidate looking to develop skills in project management, client engagement, and commercial strategy within a fast-paced professional services environment.
Requirements - Skills & Qualifications

- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Keen interest in financial services, business development, events, and strategic marketing.
- Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and competing priorities.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and structured approach to task and project management.
- Ability to contribute to event coordination, including logistics, communications, and on-the-day delivery.
- Adept knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams).
- Working knowledge of marketing tools (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp) and CRM systems (e.g. Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- A strong willingness to learn, take ownership, and adapt quickly in a dynamic setting.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
- Experience supporting events, conferences, or stakeholder-facing initiatives.
- Exposure to business development processes, including pipeline tracking, proposal support, or client research.
- Familiarity with project management tools and models.
- Experience contributing to marketing campaigns, content creation, or digital communications.
- Interest in financial services taxation, regulatory environments, and professional services.
