Join IberoDocs as Marketing & Communications Manager for a Part Time 6 month contract. Lead promotion of Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival.
Fee: £10,750 (freelance) or approx. £1,550/month (gross), incl. employer NI and pension; 26–30 hrs/week, above RLW.
Contract: Freelance or contract, 6 months, starting mid-May 2026.
Hours: Flexible, with increased availability in August and September.
Location: Remote, with regular meetings and on-site presence during the festival.
IberoDocs is Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival, celebrating the cultures of Latin America, Spain, and Portugal through creative documentary films. Led largely by immigrants, IberoDocs is a Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funded organisation committed to Fair Work First principles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a marketing and communications plan and manage the budget with the Director.
Oversee the creation of promotional materials and coordinate print and digital advertising.
Manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn), and produce newsletters.
Ensure the website is accurate and up to date.
Write press releases and liaise with media and partners.
Coordinate festival photography and video documentation.
Ensure communications meet accessibility standards (including CC).
Attend and support festival events (16–26 September 2026).
Monitor analytics and prepare reports for funders.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within the arts or film festival sector.
Passion for documentary film or Ibero-American culture.
Excellent English copywriting and proofreading skills; Spanish or Portuguese desirable.
Experience managing social media and digital campaigns.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Flexible and collaborative, able to work independently and as part of a team, and comfortable with fluctuating workloads.
Fee and Contract Details: This 6-month role begins in mid-May 2026 and may be extended subject to funding. The position is home-based with regular online and in-person meetings. The successful candidate must be in Edinburgh in the lead-up to and during the festival (16–20 September).
