Maths and English Tutor - Berkshire

Quantum Scholars are working alongside a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based near the Bracknell area who are seeking a qualified teacher to support four KS3 pupils in Maths and English.

This will be for around 2-3 hours per day, Monday - Thursday.

This is a long-term, full-time position starting ASAP.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have your own transport, as tuition will take place across two different school sites.

The Role

You will be delivering small-group tuition to KS3 pupils who require additional academic and emotional support. The aim is to re-engage learners, raise attainment, and build confidence in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, structured Maths and English lessons tailored to individual pupil needs

Work with small groups (up to 4 pupils) in a supportive and controlled environment

Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet KS3 curriculum requirements

Manage behaviour positively and create a safe learning space

Track pupil progress and provide regular feedback

Work closely with PRU staff and school teams across both sites

Support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs to help them re-engage with learning

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

Experience teaching/tutoring KS3 Maths and/or English

Ability to engage and motivate pupils with additional needs

Strong behaviour management skills

Own transport (essential)

Applicants must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate
