Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance EngineerBristol£35,000 - £40,000 per annum + on call rota paymentFull-time Permanent
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established manufacturing operation in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied role supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy production environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring everything is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance across machinery and site equipment* Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding and repairs* Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults* Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems* Support continuous improvement and reliability projects to enhance performance* Undertake occasional fabrication and welding tasks where required* Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety standards
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities* Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics* Knowledge of control gear, PLCs and 3-phase power systems* Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and reactive repairs* Able to work calmly under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns* Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team* Practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in where needed
This role is working Monday - Friday on a day shift basis, totalling 39 hours per week.
Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 3.00pm Friday 7.00pm - 2.30pm
There is an on-call rota - approximately 1 in 4
