Senior Quantity Surveyor - M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Birmingham (Office & Site Based Across the Midlands)\n\n£80,000 + Company Car + Benefits\n\nA leading building services contractor with a strong presence across the Midlands is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join their growing commercial team based in Birmingham.\n\nThis business delivers high-quality mechanical and electrical installations on major projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and industrial. With a strong order book and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to take a senior commercial role on technically challenging schemes.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nFull commercial responsibility for mechanical and electrical packages\n\nProcurement and management of subcontractors and specialist suppliers\n\nPreparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts\n\nCost reporting, forecasting, and budget management\n\nContract administration under NEC, JCT, or bespoke forms of contract\n\nIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities\n\nWorking closely with project managers and engineers to drive commercial performance\n\nSupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team\n\nMaintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders\n\nAbout You\n\nYou'll be an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor ready to take on a senior role with greater responsibility.\n\nEssential:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within M&E / building services\n\nStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations and project lifecycles\n\nExperience managing subcontract packages and cost control on construction projects\n\nGood understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts\n\nStrong negotiation, reporting, and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nDesirable:\n\nDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar\n\nExperience on medium to large-scale projects\n\nProfessional membership (RICS or similar) or working towards chartership\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n£80,000 salary\n\nCompany car or car allowance\n\nAnnual bonus scheme\n\nPension\n\nIf you're a commercially driven M&E professional looking for your next step in Birmingham, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and growing contractor.\n\nIf interested in further details please contact John Baker or Katherine Oxlade\n\n--- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of , gender, religion, belief, , sexuality or .
