MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FITTER\n\nWe are recruiting for Mechanical Assembly Fitter to work for our client who are in Leeds, West Yorkshire.\n\nDUTIES:\n\n * Mechanical assembly and testing of special purpose machinery to meet customer requirements.\n\n * Ensure workplace standards are adhered to.\n\n * Adhere to company Health and safety policy and procedures.\n\n * Report any hazards that may cause harm to yourself or a colleague.\n\n * Escalate any parts, drawing, routings and machine Faults.\n\n * Participate in investigations to determine non-conformance.\n\n * Document any data relevant to associated tasks.\n\n * Ensure that Stock control procedures are always adhered to\n\n * Participate in any continuous improvement initiatives and provide constructive feedback to the improvement team.\n\n * Be flexible and move to other areas you are trained as and when the business needs dictate.\n\nESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:\n\n * Minimum of two years’ experience in the mechanical assembly and testing of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) machinery\n\n * Working with mechanical assembly drawings /diagrams\n\n * Machine assembly experience, including assembly of gears, bearings, seals, linkages etc.\n\n * Inspection and test of safety devices and guarding\n\n * Excellent attention to detail\n\n * Apprentice trained engineer (NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification minimum)\n\nTHE HOURS:\n\nWorking a 4 days week, 37 hours from Monday to Thursday working 9 ¼ hours each day between 07:00-16:45.\n\nOvertime is payable at time and one third Monday to Thursday and time and one half Friday, Saturday and Sunday.\n\nTHE PAY:\n\nYou will earn an annual salary of £31k-38k depending on experience and travel\n\nThe company also pays £80 /day overseas allowance for working in Europe and £100 /day overseas allowance for working outside Europe. This excludes the UK, for which there is a separate allowance.\n\nHoliday entitlement is 20 days per annum (based upon four-day week) plus statutory holidays, and in addition there is the company pension scheme.\n\nQuestech Recruitment is a specialist engineering support within the Mechanical & Engineering industry, our focus is to support many clients within the M&E Sectors.
