Mechanical Assembly Operative

Location: Melksham Pay: £14.40 per hour Job Type: Ongoing Contract | Full-Time | Days Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:00-15:30 | Fri 07:00-12:00 Immediate Start Available

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company within the rail industry.

This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical, assembly, production, manufacturing, or hands-on experience, as well as those with a strong work ethic looking to develop technical skills. Full training is provided.

Key Duties:

Mechanical assembly and fitting Strip down, cleaning, and reassembly of components Use of hand tools and basic engineering equipment Following engineering drawings or work instructions Quality inspection and testing General production and manufacturing duties

Skills & Experience:

Mechanical, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, etc.) Ability to follow instructions and processes Good attention to detail Backgrounds considered: assembly operative, production operative, warehouse operative, mechanical fitter, vehicle mechanic, technician

This role would suit candidates with experience as:
