Job Description

Mechanical CAD Technician / Mid Weight Design Engineer \n\n Up to £40,000 \n\n Manchester / Warrington / Halifax \n\nThe Role:\n\nAs a key member of my clients engineering team, you will take ownership of mechanical design tasks from concept through to production, supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and clients to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring designs meet all necessary requirements and industry standards.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nProduce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings\n\nAssist in developing mechanical designs from concept to completion\n\nModify and update existing designs based on project or client requirements\n\nCollaborate with the wider engineering and production teams\n\nPerform basic engineering calculations and ensure designs meet specifications\n\nSupport prototype builds and testing as required\n\nMaintain document control and design revision history\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience in a similar Mechanical CAD or Design Engineering role\n\nHVAC experience \nProficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, and materials\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\nExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills\n\nEffective communication and team-working abilities\n\nHND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field\n\nInterested?\n\n (phone number removed) \n\n (url removed)\n\nWA Consultants is an Employment Business and an Employment Agency as described within The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
