Mechanical Contracts Manager – Building Services Location: North West England (office and site travel as required) Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Company Car
The Role You will be responsible for managing and delivering mechanical building services projects across the commercial sector, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Projects will typically range from £50k up to £4M and span sectors including commercial, healthcare and education, working with Tier 2 principal contractors, local councils, NHS organisations and major private sector clients.
Key responsibilities include: • Managing mechanical contracts including procurement of materials, labour resources and subcontractors. • Maintaining financial control of projects to ensure overall profitability. • Quantifying, ordering and controlling both materials and labour resources. • Procuring subcontract packages and managing subcontractor performance. • Assessing work content and identifying value engineering opportunities for commercial advantage. • Monitoring site progress and representing the business at project progress meetings. • Monitoring installation quality and workmanship across projects. • Providing technical and installation advice to site operatives and clients. • Producing progress applications and valuing completed work f...
