Job Title: Mechanical Contracts Manager – Building Services

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £70K + Package

The Role:

Overall management of a team of Project Managers delivering mechanical building services projects, primarily within the commercial office fit-out sector.

*

Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

*

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements across all projects.

*

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

*

Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, including conditions, deliverables, and variations.

*

Manage contract changes, extensions, and terminations effectively.

*

Identify and mitigate contractual and project delivery risks.

*

Resolve disputes quickly and professionally, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained.

*

Monitor financial performance using CVRs and other reporting tools.

*

Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the project management team.

The Ideal Candidate:

*

5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Project Manager within building services.

*

Will hold a SMSTS/Black Managers Card

*

Demonstrated success in delivering projects within the commercial sector.

*

Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously.

*

Proficient in contract management software (ideally Construct) and with experience in the air conditioning sector.
