Job Description

Our client, a market leading manufacturer, seeks to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Leeds facility. You'll be designing and developing a wide range of mechanical products from initial concept through to finished design. The appointed Mechanical Design Engineer will be well qualified (degree , but HNC / HND and experience in industry fine too) and have at least fives years' experience of 3D CAD design software.

You'll receive a market leading financial package, there's a well deserved reputation for paying people well, and be given excellent training and exciting projects to work on in a positive, inclusive atmosphere.\n\nMechanical Design Engineer - Role & Responsibilities – Senior Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer / CAD\n \n - Review new product requests and write project/product specifications and create project plans\n - Generate product designs and CAD models, including calculations/analysis both by hand and with the assistance of computer software\n - Preparation of manufacturing detail drawings, assembly drawings, schematics and BOMs\n - Create test specifications and work with other R&D team members to assemble, test and examine prototype products\n - Assist the Sales and Operations departments as required to ensure that customer expectations\n \n Mechanical Design Engineer - Candidate Profile – Senior Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer / CAD\n \n - HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering as a minimum.
