Job Description
Role- Mechanical Design Engineer \n \n Salary- £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)\n \n Type- Permanent\n \n Location- Stoke \n \n My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Stoke on a permanent basis.\n \n The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\n1 year or more of experience in a similar Design / Mechanical / Project Engineering position\nStrong organisation, client facing and project management skills\nStrong experience with sheet metal fabrication and SolidWorks would be beneficial\nPrevious expereince with material handling is beneficial \nExperience with 2D and 3D CAD\nKnowledge of a sheet metal, injection moulded plastics, welding, fabrication, castings etc.\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nProven ability to drive Engineering development\nGood mathematical and general engineering knowledge\nThe ability to understand system requirements\nBe self-motivated with excellent attention to detail\nHave excellent communication skills both verbal and written \n The Project Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\nWorking on full lifecycle projects\nDesigning and developing new products\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\nChecking drawings for sign off\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
