Role- Mechanical Design Engineer  (Hybrid)

Salary- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type- Permanent

Location- Liverpool (Hybrid work available)

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
4 or more years of industry experience working in similar Mechanical Design role
Ideally have some experience with process equipment and automation
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and instrumentation
Excellent proficiency with CAD software – SolidWorks is desirable
Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
The ability to understand system requirements
Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Able to travel nationally and internationally on occasion

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
Leading client projects to convert ideas into designs
Working on new product concepts
Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
Leading manufacture, construction, installation and maintenance documentation
Working with high precision instrumentation products
Perform detailed calculations
Conducting design reviews
