My client are a leading engineering design consultancy supplying in to a heavy industries and are looking for a Mechanical design engineer, if you come from a Nuclear, Fusion , Power Gen and Oil and Gas industry and have extensive experience as a mechanical design engineer with heavy focus on CAD then look no further, as this is the job for you!

Mechanical Design Engineer Permanent Monday-Thursday  8am-4.30pm Friday- 8am-1pm

Key Roles & Responsibilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

Develop conceptual and layout designs for mechanical and hydraulic assemblies based on process definitions Perform stress analysis and engineering calculations to validate design integrity Collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams across Mechanical, Structural, Hydraulic, and Materials disciplines Support full project lifecycle, including build, commissioning, testing, and trials of new systems Coordinate with electrical, control, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and interface compatibility

Essential Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

Highly regulated industries Stress analysis/ Calcs/ FEA Experienced with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics and moving mechanisms Experience with CAD Degree qualified Knowledge of manufacturing process including welding, fabrication and machining
