What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, compliant mechanical designs across a range of nuclear and industrial projects. Expect variety, challenge, and the chance to work across the full engineering lifecycle.
You will:
* Create high‑quality 3D models (Inventor/SolidWorks) and 2D manufacturing drawings (AutoCAD)
* Produce and verify design calculations
* Develop solutions from client specifications, national standards, and regulatory requirements
* Collaborate closely with Projects, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain
* Support design reviews, approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Contribute to project delivery, ensuring designs meet cost, quality, and safety targets
* Build deep product knowledge across the full lifecycle

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines technical capability with curiosity, ownership, and a drive for excellence.
You’ll need:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Strong 3D/2D CAD skills (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
* Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
* Experience with pressure systems, pumps, pipework, or packaged systems (advantageous)
* Logical, analytical problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team
* A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning
* UK nationality (due to secure site access requirements)
