Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Type: Full Time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £65k p/a (Pro-rata) on a 6-month FTC

Hours: Mon-Thurs: 7:30am-6:00pm and Fri: 7:30am-3:30pm

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Owen Daniels have partnered with a leading manufacturing company and we are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer due to growth in the business.

Mechanical Design Engineer – Key responsibilities:

Develop, cost-effective mechanical designs that are safe to build, test and maintain, ensuring suitability for purpose.
Produce mechanical components and assemblies, including 3D CAD models and fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
Manage materials and components, compile parts lists, and maintain accurate data.
Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to refine designs, meeting agreed deadlines and contributing to reports and meetings as required.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

HNC Mechanical Engineering or Higher
Proven track record in mechanical design engineering
Strong understanding of GD&T and material properties
Fully competent in SolidWorks
