OB- Engineering Manager\n\nLOCATION - Liverpool\n\nTERM- Permanent\n\nSALARY - £60,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)\n\nMy client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for an Engineering Manager with a background in Mechanical Design to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.\n\nThe Engineering Manager will ideally have the following attributes:\n\n5 or more years’ of industry experience, with a background in Mechanical Design Engineering\nPrevious management experience would be beneficial\nStrong leadership skills\nBSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nProven ability to take products from conceptual design to being sold commercially\nIdeally be experienced leading development for components from concept to production\nProficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks or similar\nExperience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, process equipment, ancillary equipment, hydraulics or similar industries would also be beneficial\nAbility to drive Engineering development\nGood mathematical and general engineering knowledge\nExcellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining, fabrication etc.\nThe ability to understand system requirements\nBe self-motivated with excellent attention to detail\nHave excellent communication skills both verbal and written\n\nThe Engineering Manager role will involve:\n\nManaging a team of Design Engineers\nBeing involved with Engineering/Design as well as overseeing New Product Development and Introduction processes\nUsing 3D CAD software on a daily basis\nTaking things from concept to launch\nHelping to develop existing products on a technical level\nLiaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress\nProducing technical drawings as needed\nDriving continuous improvement\nOffering technical support\nSourcing and selecting components that are required\n\nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
