Our client has been established for over 140 years, supplying high quality products and services to a wide range of industries. Their customers are as diverse as their products including multinational blue chip organisations as well as small independents
They offer full design, stress analysis, manufacture, and galvanising on site. Their bespoke steel fabricated products are provided to the highest standard and with a valued and experienced team they are looking to add to this by hiring an experienced mechanical design/project engineer.
Working with a highly accomplished engineering department in this wide and varied role responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing engineering projects, to achieve the Company’s goals
* Understanding the capabilities of all manufacturing plant procedures and processes within the Company
* Ensuring that all equipment is designed to perform safely, reliably and effectively within the boundaries of current applicable legislation and standards
* Ensuring, in consultation with Production Management, that all equipment is designed to enable efficient production and transport techniques
* Keeping informed of current and changing trends in the markets
* Maintaining links with advisory, experimental and industry bodies
* Keeping informed of all current and proposed legislation which will or may affect current or proposed products
