My client is a Tier 1 contractor working on the Hinkley Point C project and requires a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Estimator with water utility experience Officer to support with

Key responsibilities

* Review project drawings, specifications, and scope * Perform quantity take-offs for labour, materials, and equipment * Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bids for mechanical and electrical works * Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes * Analyse costs, risks, and contingencies * Identify value engineering and cost-saving options * Collaborate with project managers and project teams * Update estimates based on design or scope changes * Maintain estimating databases and pricing information * Support bid reviews and post-award cost control

Skills Requirements

* Proven experience estimating for both mechanical and electrical works * Strong experience estimating for water utility projects * Happy to work in Bridgwater 5-days a week - either commuting or staying away * Happy working Inside IR35
