Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled) – 3-Month Minimum Temp Contract (2 Roles)
Sheffield S35
Positions Available: 1 x Mechanical Technician and 1 x Electrical Technician
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days & Afters only Alternate weeks (6AM–2PM / 2PM–10PM)
Contract: Minimum 3-month temporary contract
Pay Rates:
£23.82 per hour – Monday to Friday between 6AM–10PM
£32.15 per hour – Weekend rate (if ever required)
Overview
A long-established manufacturing organisation in Sheffield is seeking two experienced Maintenance Technicians on a temporary basis. One role will be mechanically biased, the other electrically biased. You will join a supportive maintenance team ensuring production equipment remains safe, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Work as part of a five-person Maintenance Team under a Maintenance Team Leader.
Diagnose, fault-find and repair a wide range of production machinery.
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise breakdowns and extend asset life.
Record all work accurately using the site’s computerised maintenance management system.
Support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to improving machinery reliability and overall site performance.
Requirements
Apprentice trained to Level 3 minimum in a relevant discipline.
Mechanical role: Mechanical qualification with some electrical capability.
Electrical role: Electrical qualification with mechanical experience.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment essential.
Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Welding/fabrication skills desirable.
Experience using CMMS systems beneficial.
