Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of high-value M&E projects. You will be responsible for engineering oversight, project coordination, and ensuring technical compliance across all assigned projects.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will play a key role in solving complex engineering and operational challenges while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate project activities to ensure efficient and profitable delivery
Review designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical and regulatory compliance
Lead technical checks, submittals, and plant/equipment procurement processes
Monitor project progress, sequencing, and quality to meet programme requirements
Support commercial activities including variations, subcontract orders, and cost reviews
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and wider project teams for seamless delivery
Oversee installation quality, zero-defects reporting, and commissioning readiness
Ensure all activities comply with health & safety standards
Prepare project reports and represent the business at key meetings
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/BEng )
Strong technical experience in Mechanical Engineering project delivery
Proven ability to review designs, ensure compliance, and support procurement processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment
Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills
High attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
Strong problem-solving capabilities
