The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation on a permanent basis in Keighley.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in mechanical building services, M&E projects, or construction environments, looking to take ownership of project delivery from engineering through to completion.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to client specification, while supporting commercial performance and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
⚠️ Please note: This role requires eligibility to obtain security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver mechanical engineering aspects of projects within a construction / building services environment
* Ensure all activities are carried out in line with health & safety regulations
* Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope of works
* Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
* Monitor project progress, reporting to senior stakeholders
* Support cost control and ensure delivery aligns with commercial objectives
* Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Support successful project completion and handover
Requirements
* Experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical)
* Strong background in mechanical installations or M&E / building services projects
* Experience working on medium to high-value construction projects
* Relevant mechanical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or trade background)
* Good understanding of health & safety and project delivery processes
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
