Role Overview: We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in piping, tanks, valves, and rotating equipment, ideally within COMAH-regulated environments. You'll act as the technical authority for mechanical systems, ensuring design integrity, regulatory compliance, and equipment optimisation across terminals and pipeline infrastructure. This is a flexible role with regular travel across North West Europe. Key Responsibilities: Lead on mechanical scope (valves, piping, pumps, rotating machinery). Ensure engineering design complies with API, EN, EEMUA, ASME standards. Manage spec/design/maintenance of tanks, vessels, pumps, jetty systems, and boilers. Participate in HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and FMEAs. Apply and manage MOC processes across sites. Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment. Support asset integrity across ageing infrastructure. Provide technical assurance for safety-critical tasks in COMAH sites. Participate in the Operational Duty Manager rota.
