We’re hiring for a Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing business based Bolton in.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining production equipment through a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operating efficiently.

* Mon – Fri| 7:30am – 4pm
* Overtime available (1.5x after 40 hours / 2x after 48 hours

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Engineer?
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Working with bearings, chains, motors and gearboxes
* Maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Working on industrial pumps and pipework systems
* Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
* Completing basic wiring, electrical fault finding and equipment checks
* Using internal maintenance systems and IT platforms to record work completed
* Completing risk assessments and system isolations before maintenance work
* Supporting weekend or bank holiday maintenance work when required
What will you need?
* Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Multiskilled Engineer
* Either an NVQ/HND/HNC or City & Guilds in mechanical engineering
* Experience with mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
* Ability to read engineering drawings and maintenance documentation
* Basic electrical fault-finding and wiring knowledge
