We’re Hiring: Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager
Location: Old Swan, Liverpool (option to work from our Leeds office)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
A&B Engineering is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager to join our growing team. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity within an expanding and dynamic company offering excellent career development.
You’ll play a key role in the tendering and estimating process for mechanical projects across multiple sectors, collaborating with skilled professionals in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical estimates and bids
Lead and manage the bid process from tender review to submission
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
Attend pre- and post-tender meetings
Ensure bids meet technical and commercial requirements
Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries
✅ Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Bid Manager in the M&E or construction industry
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and technical drawings
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and in a team
