Job Description

My client is a well-established M&E contractor based in Derby, who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Estimator into their fast-paced commercial office.\nThe Role\nThis role will suit someone confident in producing mechanical tenders for both pre-designed and design & build (D&B) projects ranging in value from £10K up to £1.5M. You’ll be working closely with the wider estimating and design teams to price a variety of commercial and industrial projects. A solid background in the wet side of the industry is essential – familiarity with AC and ventilation systems is beneficial but not a must.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * \n Producing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates\n * \n Working from both pre-designed and D&B project specifications\n * \n Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes\n * \n Collaborating with the design and delivery teams throughout the bid process\n * \n Attending client meetings where required\nRequirements:\n * \n Proven experience in mechanical estimating\n * \n Strong knowledge of heating, hot and cold water systems, and general pipework installations\n * \n Excellent communication and organisational skills\n * \n Comfortable working in a busy, office-based environment (non-hybrid )
