Mechanical Estimator\nAn excellent opportunity to develop your career with a large construction company with impressive growth & a great reputation.\nCompensation & Benefits\nThis role offers a comprehensive package to attract top talent:\n * A competitive salary ranging from £50k to £60k, dependent on experience.\n * An additional £8k car allowance\n * Hybrid working 1/2 days in office\n * 35 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.\n * Enhanced pension and contractual sick pay.\n * Enhanced maternity and paternity pay (subject to a qualifying period)\n * Access to the on-site gym\nThe Role\nAs a mechanical estimator it will be vitaly important to focus on preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, and large-scale decarbonisation schemes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, playing a crucial part in securing new business and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects.\nKey Responsibilities Include:\n * Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and pipework.\n * Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings,\n * Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations.\n * Conducting site visits and attending pre-tender meetings as required.\n * Collaborating with the projects team to facilitate smooth handover and project delivery.\n * Maintaining and updating estimating tools and databases.\nCandidate Profile\nThe ideal candidate will possess proven experience in mechanical estimating, with an emphasis on large-scale decarbonisation projects.
