Location: Tamworth
Duration: Contract to Permanent
Salary: £15.00 - £16.00ph + Overtime

Our client, who supports several companies across the Automotive sector has an immediate opening for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an established team for an immediate start.

As a Mechanical Fitter:

You will work on new and refurbished resistance welding machines that are supplied to a wide range of clients from within the automotive industry.

Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing parts and equipment
Fulfill parts requisitions on the completion of work to ensure stock levels are retained hence minimizing downtime
Assist with ongoing project work e.g. new equipment installations
Undertake any reasonable requests for training, either internally or externally, to improve performance and capabilities
Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours when cover is required Qualifications / Key Skills:

Apprenticeship in associated field or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of various types of welding machines an advantage
Experience of working and setting up jigs
Ability to work under instruction and on own initiative
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work safely and adhering to health and safety protocols good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team or independently
Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are desirableBenefits to support this position:

Hours - 07.30 - 4.00pm (Mon - Thursday), 2.00pm finish on a Friday
