Job Description

The Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to service, maintain and repair a range of plant and workshop equipment in the field. You will work from home and cover sites within approximately a one-hour radius, giving you an autonomous and flexible working structure.\n\nYou will be provided with a fully expensed company vehicle, and a food allowance when working on site.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out inspections, servicing and repairs on various plant and workshop equipment\n\nDiagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs\n\nProduce clear and accurate quotations for customers\n\nComplete job reports and service documentation after each visit\n\nMaintain tools, van stock and equipment in line with company standards\n\nDeliver a high level of customer service on site\n\nWhat we're looking for\n\nThe successful applicant will demonstrate:\n\nStrong mechanical experience in a relevant industry (plant, agricultural, HGV, construction, material handling, or industrial equipment)\n\nExperience with fault finding, repairs and maintenance\n\nAbility to work independently in a field-based role\n\nA full UK driving licence\n\nHours of Work\n\n40 hours per week\n\nMonday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm\n\nBenefits\n\nCompany vehicle (fully expensed)\n\nPaid travel time\n\nVoluntary overtime available\n\nNo call-out\n\nNo stay- away\n\nIndependent working schedule\n\nFood allowance when on site
