Mechanical Fitter Team Leader – Days

Due to continued global demand and expansion of our production output, we are strengthening our day-shift leadership team and are now recruiting a Mechanical Fitter Team Leader to lead and support our skilled assembly team in Anglesey. The Role – Mechanical Fitter Team Leader (Days)

As the Mechanical Fitter Team Leader, you will combine hands-on assembly responsibilities with day-to-day supervision of the mechanical fitting team. You will play a key role in driving productivity, maintaining quality standards and fostering a positive team culture on the shop floor.

This role would suit a Senior Mechanical Fitter, Lead Fitter, Production Team Leader, Assembly Supervisor or Workshop Supervisor looking to progress into, or further develop within, a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supervising a team of Mechanical Fitters on the day shift
• Allocating workloads in line with production schedules
• Assembling mechanical and pneumatic systems from technical drawings and schematics
• Supporting testing, fault-finding and system checks
• Ensuring builds meet quality and safety standards
• Coaching and mentoring team members to improve performance
• Monitoring productivity and reporting updates to management
• Promoting and maintaining high health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

The successful Mechanical Fitter Team Leader will have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience
• Strong background in mechanical and pneumatic assembly
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising a team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A hands-on, supportive leadership style

Hours of Work – Day Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 07:00 – 12:30
• Full-time, permanent
• Site-based in Anglesey
