Mechanical Fitter

We are looking for Mechanical Fitters to carry out mechanical fitting activities, inspections, maintenance, and repairs across a range of systems and equipment within the estate and, when required, in other sections.
Key Responsibilities Deliver all planned preventative maintenance to meet departmental and business objectives. Identify, rectify, and report system, manufacturing, and operational defects or alterations. Work within established processes while contributing suggestions for improvement to increase efficiency. Comply with all Health & Safety legislation, Safe Systems of Work, and BM&T Clyde policies. Mentor colleagues, provide guidance to apprentices, and act as Apprentice Master when required. Lead and coordinate with other sections on multi-disciplinary tasks. Knowledge & Skills Required Mechanical systems and equipment (including boilers, pressure systems, and documentation). Ability to interpret engineering drawings and complete risk assessments. Familiarity with COSHH and safe systems of work.
