As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of heavy plant and equipment, as well as carrying out domestic-style maintenance within a public building.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter Role:
Undertake routine maintenance, breakdown support, and installation of a diverse range of plant equipment Assemble truck-based cargo scanners, including fitting the generator and modifying the fuel system Install Linac and other Varian equipment, as well as fit and align detector boxes Manufacture any additional components as required, using engineering drawings or your own initiative Assemble gantries, portals, and car scanners, including fitting drive motors and wheels Carry out safety checks on workshop equipment and perform building maintenance as needed
What We're Looking for in a Mechanical Fitter:
Enjoy technical work and possess excellent hand-eye coordination Graduation from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship High school diploma or equivalent Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills<...
